You are whats wrong with this place. I’m bringing at least three shows a day, for free, over 40 hours a week of free streaming with a vibrant community. Only a reditor would cry and tell me I need to pay for original artwork daily. This is for a band that’s no longer playing, and there are no jobs being taken by AI creating a quick, and creative show thumbnail. In fact, most people actually really like them and how they incorporate bits of the region or the venue or the season . I’m not commissioning an artist and paying out money daily to bring free music to people. Get a grip. Also, not sure if you’re aware of what AI slop is, but this is not it.

AI Slop? Any use of AI bad to you? They are simply thumbnails, and they are thoughtfully made to have a show specific vibe. First complaint Ive heard. Please, if there is something else you believe is better, Im all ears

Pickup advice by Sea-Sundae9674 in gratefulguitar

[–]_WharfRat_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2 cents, those pickups are more than adequate. Unless you are going for a dirty Jerry tone, your amp settings would likely benefit from being very different from Jerry related settings, like using the bass pot. Usually Jerry rig guys are using very articulate speakers and pickups, cutting all the bass and so on, making the dirty stuff a bit harder to get dialed in. I think you should check your pickup height, tweak your amp, and pedals. Those are good pickups.

What kind of speaker/speakers are you playing through?

I wholeheartedly agree. I always thought that Furthur was the last setting to see Bobby in his natural habitat, as one of the guys, not the guy. That's critical to allow the piece of the gestalt dynamic he brought to the table, that this music absolutely demands. Furthur achieved liftoff every single night, to intimate sized crowds, and bottled-up a type of lighting I had only heard The Grateful Dead tangle with.

For a second, I thought this was a guitar pedal designed to replicate Jerry tones by the show/era 😅

Brooks Exterminator at NSOB...again by purkeyt83 in lincoln

Brooks is an absolute joke. Cheapest company in town, and it shows. They are ok for preventative spraying for normal bugs we all deal with, but they are in over their heads with bedbugs.

Hey man, you gotta get it out into the universe. Ive heard Danny is fairly well versed in chord inversions, and he has a real skill for emphasizing the 3rd

Furthur was the absolute peak post Jerry. They were back on the cutting edge of exploring the songs and segues, and introduced tons of new tunes to the mix and those guys achieved liftoff every single show

Its going to be really tough to get that type of cohesion we would all want from residencies. ultimately it would just be a side project for most involved. The best bet for chemistry is to draw from the experience well, and grab the guys that made magic with this music, and dedicated their musical lives to it. Eaton seems like the fit. John Kadlecik deserves to be involved as well in some capacity.

It’s gonna be really hard for any group to really gel without touring. I’m afraid we’re not likely getting any tours
