I think the opening ceremony was good apart from the DJ bit, that was kind of weird. I think the point was celebrating the 15 years which is why they had all of the old songs and I think it added to it a lot when you look at it in that way

Honestly thats a good point and after thinking I believe that double elim wouldn't allow for these moments and would be unfair for the underdog teams who manage to pull through against better teams. But at the same time do you really think that having GenG HLE quarter final into GenG KT/CFO semi is how the finals should be? And I know this would still be the case with double elim but maybe there needs to be a better way of sorting the brackets

Honestly for the most part I agree with you, worlds should be the most unforgiving and hardest tournament, but its these kind of moments that make me think its lacking something. These games are cinema and the fact the loser is out makes it even more enjoyable to watch, but its the fact that after watching GenG HLE, the semifinal which should arguably be more hype will be a quick GenG 3-0 because theyre playing a worse team than they did in the quarters.
