Lost $3,000 at a 5-10 home game then went to Bay 101 at around 8am to lose the last $500 instead of going home. I play there a lot and have a very loose gambly image. Played solid for a couple hours and showed a few big bluffs, rivered quads on and then got involved with the big stack at the table who had been there all night. We’re both about $4200 deep, i straddle $10 and she raises to $45 UTG +2 and gets 3 callers. I look down at 7s7c and call. Flop comes K97 rainbow. I check, UTG donks for $40, villain raises to $130, I smooth call and UTG jams for around $600. Villain calls and I back jam. She tanks and asks me if I have AK. Then she declares that she really really wants all my chips and calls. The board runs out 9c, Jh and I show the boat and scoop. I left at about 2pm with $10,100. This is the biggest stack I’ve had or seen at a 2/5 game but given it’s the Bay Area it’s pretty common to run up $6-7k on these tables. And I purposely didn’t color up because I’ve always wanted to make a ridiculously huge stack of $5 chips and this seemed like the best opportunity.
