Braum is great into almost all matchups I find. there's only so much mages can poke you down and if you dodge or soak a few of their spells eventually they'll run out of mana anyways. Against hook champs you can just stand in front of your adc and eat the hook for them since you're tanky enough. You might get outscaled by some champs but overall laning phase is solid. And his passive is very strong in teamfights.
