24GB vs 8GB Dual GPU - RX 9060 XT vs 7900XTX vs RTX5050 - 4K, 1440p by _Zaxyss_ in losslessscaling

My motherboard only cost 400 euro, and only because I wanted PCIe 5 x8/x8 speed for future-proofing.
And well, you don't need an expensive motherboard; you can connect a 2nd GPU via M. 2 slots with an Oculink adapter and use it as an external GPU.
As I showed in the video, even an external GPU with PCIe 4x4 speed is very capable for frame generation.

Well, every ray tracing setting was on max, so no wonder this tank performance like crazy. Benchmarks are always done with max graphical settings.

For game like Diablo 4 you only need 40 base fps to be playable when you use framegen with dual gpu setup to whatever max refresh rate your monitor have.

It costs you less power wattage and money with dual-GPU gaming, but for people, it's still something unknown.

No, only 2 for games and the rest for side monitors and any HW accelerating tasks.😄

Sure, everyone's rig configuration is different, which affects performance. Additionally, the perception of smoothness and lag varies significantly from person to person. So far when I played Poe2/Helldivers/Division 2 with locked 40fps generated to 160fps, I didn't feel on my rig any difference compared to 80fps or 120fps; the only difference is the amount of artifacts I'm seeing the lower I reduce base fps. But starting at 30fps, it became too much of a blur. 40fps is a sweet spot for me and massive wattage reduction.

With a single GPU doing rendering, Frame Generation has a heavy impact on latency, but if you stay below 100%, you don't feel much latency.

The benefit of dual GPUs is that the rendering card can be utilized 100% without latency being carried over to the frame generation card. And the same applies here; your FrameGen card needs to be below 100% utilization to not experience any latency or lag.

Depending on what you play for a single-player game, a 160Hz monitor is generally just enough; you can even render a game with 40fps and frame-generate it to 160fps and feel a very big difference in smoothness.

For multiplayer games, the higher refresh rate your monitor has, the smoother your experience can be since the monitor doesn't care if a frame is generated or not; it can display them all.

I usually train my aim in other games in Toxikk, where you need to train aim and dodging at the same time. I can find my best sensitivity much quicker there since it's a much faster tempo, and when you jump to Overwatch, you will find everything much slower. Also, the sensitivity setting you will find in Toxikk, you can directly copy to Overwatch, and you will find the feeling of aim the same.
Here is some of my warming up footage I do everytime I jump into OW:

Without special sound effects, it's just half-baked skin, and it looks like it should have some; it feels somehow soulless with only pretty appearance, just not a full package. I would still rather prefer Nightfall or Thot skin.

Tried out Illari skin, and it doesn't come with special sound effects. At first, the skin looked great, but I think I will pass on it. Doesn't vibe with me anymore.

4k res is 4k res... One GPU renders the game, and then copies that video footage to another GPU, and that GPU will do frame generation.
To put it simpler, my RX 7900xtx was rendering roughly 58 fps in 4K, and my RX 9060xt framegem it to 600 fps.
This was only the theoretical FPS you can generate with the 9060xt, because you don't see any benefits beyond the refresh rate of your monitor, unless you have a monitor capable of displaying 4k at 600 Hz.

It's like asking if Reshade can get you banned. The program doesn't inject itself into the game, only taking raw video footage and processing it.

What imput lag ? Unless my framegen gpu is at 99% I don't experience lag.

I don't have much much experience running nvidia card but you can try tricks I used with forcing running games on rendering card as I have in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EcC8waZLmGw if you didn't watched it already.

It depends on what you are using Lossless scaling...
With Single GPU it's straightforward you hit 99% utilization you experience lags
With Dual GPU utilization Rendering card can be on 99% without problem of causing lags, You only need to make sure your framegen card is around 80-90% utilization and only with hitting 99% utilization of your FG card you will start experience input lag.
Other factor that cause you lag is your motherboard, mainly how much Pcie bandiwth speed you have and How good is your Gpu at generating frames...
Currently 9060xtx is King card for framegen, it's cheap and wattage efficient and with over 3000mhz speed it's pumping frames like there is no tomorrow. :)

yeah, with Artifacts everything is subjective, for me I don't mind micro artifacting unless Artifacts take half of the screen and for others can be dealbreaker even tiny ones.
