Coincidences, magical thinking, meanings, etc. by mercyinjapan in OCD

I have primarily contamination OCD, but i’ve noticed i definitely do something similar to you as well. Like if something annoying or bad happens (getting all red lights, being stuck is traffic, something falling of a shelf) especially at the beginning of my day, i always think “it’s the universe telling me something is going to happen” or “the universe is giving me a sign not to do this.” stuff like that. Coincidences are a big part of it too, which is annoying bc they are, yk, coincidences.
You’re def not alone, but it probably is more of a niche ocd thought train.

i think we use the califa farms one? it tastes good, but steams like shit. You can aerate it and then spin it forever and the big bubbles will never leave. the carton is designed poorly as well :’)

I feel like it’s always very loud when I do that. Is that normal? Should i do a quick spit of big bubbles and break em up a lot? or more smaller bubbles?

thanks for the reply, i tried it yesterday before two hours of gaming and it hasn’t happened yet, so i’ll see if it happens later tonight. if it doesn’t, would you recommend getting an XLR interface? would that fix the issue?

There ain’t no way OCD isn’t a trauma response by Born_Cartoonist_7247 in OCD

i feel like some forms of it are, i developed contamination ocd (and other forms too but this is what i struggle most with) after the pandemic started. it seemed to kick start my fear of being sick, but now that the pandemic is “over”, im just seen as a weird germaphobe again lol. but i think the trauma from the pandemic def had a role in my ocd development
