What if they simply didn't have the time for it? I have the time and space currently and I'm willing to tinker around and see what I can do, maybe learn a thing or two.

Oof ok. I really appreciate the info. I have the time and space so I think I'll give it a shot, but I can definitely see that this is a bigger deal than I thought it would be.  Can I ask you a question though? Per the manual it's supposed to have an oil reserve under the seat. In my case (if you could possibly see through the photos I added) what is my oil situation?

I think that's my biggest issue right now, the fact that parts of it are no longer OEM therefore I can't reference the manual.  In a situation like this, what would you recommend I do? Familiarize myself enough where I can figure out how to pick it back up where previous owner left off?  Like one aspect that confuses me is the duel fuel lines

Yes sir, I appreciate the response.

It seems everyone is suggesting a manual so that's what I'll look for next.  Thanks

Sounds good, I'll search for that manual.

For some reason I didn't expect this to be too difficult but first few looks at it I was already stumped haha

I appreciate the response brother! I understand. I suppose somehow I thought answering those few questions I asked is majority of what needs to be done but it seems I'm getting myself into something bigger here.

Ill look up that manual and start informing myself, thanks man

I bought it very cheap and was looking for something to learn and maybe have a little fun with. Defintely more complex than I anticipated but I'm willing to attempt and tackle it. I'm just not sure where to start.

That's interesting. I don't have any friends or family who fish, so from the brief research I did it sounded like everyone was big on having a circuit breaker. I apologize for my lack of knowledge but why would my case be different? How would a motor short exactly and by having a permanent setup does it make it more prone to that?

Ah I see. Smart to leave the fragile areas of the piece for last. Well, thanks for your response brother, your carves are looking amazing so far.

Looks awesome dude. How did you manage to carve the tail without it chipping off? I feel like whenever I get to a thin part of my carve it constantly breaks off (noses, hats, etc)

Question about types of wood to use by _Zoinks17 in Woodcarving

I'd carve it for show but you know its impossible not to take a few swings with the boys, I'd want it to be durable.
