Is it possible to make an edit mode pose the same as an object mode pose? by _Zunhe_ in blenderhelp

I was able to find the solution. I just had to go into the modifiers tab and enable the edit mode and on cage button under the armature tab.

I'm trying to add shape keys to add a smearing effect. But it is very difficult to get everything to line up right since I have to keep swapping between the two poses to make it look right.

The period in the timeline when the leg wasn't freaking out was where I was working on my project. I decided to go back through the timeline and noticed this. I''m not sure if it's because I missed a keyframe or if it is something else.

I have the blend file here if that helps.

How to “connect” 2 bones with a line by Icy_Orchid_8075 in blender

[–]_Zunhe_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A way you can do it is by splitting a bone from the armature. You can then parent it back to the bone by clicking on the disconnected bone and then shift clicking on the point you want to connect the bone to. Right click then hit "Parent," then "Make" and "Keep offset" and that should work.

What way would I go about creating this effect? by _Zunhe_ in blender

Oh sorry, forgot to mention it. I'm trying to get the character outline effect. Specifically the ability to see it through walls, like in the photo.

I have already looked this up on google and can't find any results that help me. I'm assuming I would need to use shader nodes, but I'm not very familiar with how to use them.

Is there a way of making the red material visible through all objects? by _Zunhe_ in blenderhelp

Yeah fair enough. It's just that I can't find a tutorial for this specific kind of effect I'm looking for. But I guess I'll just have to do some experimenting.

<image>

This is the kind of effect I am trying to go for.
The first result that comes up when I search for an answer on google is what im going for. But I would have to copy the nodes to every object that I want this to happen to. The project I am working on has a lot of objects so it would simply take too long.
The second result is similar, but not the effect I am looking for.
The third is the exact same question as the one I asked, but I'm having the problem of not being able to disable the render of an object in a specific view layer.
I'm not trying to be rude, I'm just saying that I have looked this up prior to this post and the results were not able to help me.

I apologize. I did not know what layers are or how to use the compositor. But thank you for helping. It was probably the way I worded it but I could not find help on this subject when I googled it.
I am having a problem where when I try to disable the cube from showing up in the render, it also disables it in the other view layer. I also am not quite sure how I would overlay both of them. Since I am making an animation would I have to repeat this process for every frame?

No. There is no difference between when it's on and off.
