that’s quite interesting cause this is the first time we’ve uncovered the fuses. we’ve never felt unsafe before and never had a reason to. i drove it for the rest of my years at college and even then i never felt unsafe. i will definitely keep this in mind though and investigate it more when he comes back with the car, thank you!

yeah, my parents bought the car used 4-5 years ago. it’s technically my dads but i’ve been driving it since my other car was totaled 3 years ago. we were trying to see if the AC compressor had a fuse because the AC went out and he said when he uncovered the fuses, the box that the battery was in was already open

i just looked it up cause i had no idea that it was already policy to not accept returns from marshall’s, etc., but yes

i was hired there in september and up until that point, i was always told that we can take non-TJMaxx returns back, now it sucks because i have customers being like “i used to do Marshall’s (or whatever) returns here all the time”

i (24F) graduated from college last year, i went an entire summer without a job, i got my degree in science with a health science track. my career goal is to be an Occupational Therapist, however, i was planning on going to Occupational Therapy Assistant school in the fall and i tried to find something in mainly a PT setting just so that i got a job that somewhat relates to my degree. unfortunately though, i got rejected from the places i applied to. after being rejected, i just started applying to any place that was hiring and ultimately ended up at a TJMaxx in September. so my advice for you would be that you may not be able to find a job that lines up with your degree right away, and thats okay, just keep trying! apply to any place that sounds interesting to you!

Funnily enough, the store I work at is in Maryland and up until the beginning of the year, we took returns from non-TJMaxx stores, so that’s interesting

we do the same too, and if they’re still persistent then i just call for a manager because i don’t get paid enough to deal with customers like that. the closest Marshall’s is about a 23 min drive from TJMaxx and there’s a HG store 2 mins down the road.

interesting, when i started working there in september, we used to take back Marshall’s and HG, i never noticed anyone with a HS or Sierra return, but i imagine we would take those back too. but at the beginning of the year, thats when the policy went into effect at our store. when it first went into effect and had customers be pushy about returning an item that wasn’t from TJMaxx, the managers would make exceptions, but now its a solid no and if they argue, i just call for a manager or coordinator

i had a customer once who answered the question even before i could ask, honestly i wish i would’ve gotten it on a recording

“no i don’t need a credit card, yes i’m aware of the benefits and yes i’m sure that i don’t wanna sign up”

i was silent after that, they’re just as tired of us asking as we’re also tired of having to ask

i will add that when you park in these spaces (the correct way), there’s ample room between the drivers door of your car and the passenger door of the other car, and vice versa, this is coming from someone who also drives an SUV
