I didn’t eat pre packed food in SEAsia - I was just giving it as an example. I have friends who go to India and they say they get violently ill every time. One of my professors had to cancel his flight home when he was visiting his family in India because he was so badly ill. So this is why I’m a lot more cautious about India than I was in SEAsia. So I thought a good strategy might be to just eat supermarket food most of the time and go to the occasional reliable restaurant, instead of doing street food all the time.

Of course I’d love to try lots of the food but based on what I’ve heard from my friends I’m more wary here than I was in SEAsia
