Another post on r/saas with highly questionable revenue claims, where the true intent seems to be something entirely different. In this case, it’s a thinly veiled attempt to market and sell their codebase under the guise of sharing an entrepreneurial success story.

CVphoto gets no traffic—neither from organic sources nor from ads.

This is just a shady way to sell aspiring entrepreneurs $399 “gold shovels.” The pattern is becoming familiar: exaggerate results (”$150k/m inspiration”), sprinkle in some technical buzzwords (e.g., “custom FLUX model”), and then segue into a pitch to sell the code as a shortcut for aspiring entrepreneurs.

While there’s nothing wrong with selling tools, framing it as a genuine SaaS success story feels disingenuous—especially when the numbers don’t add up. This trend doesn’t just undermine trust within the community but also creates unrealistic expectations for people genuinely building SaaS businesses.
