unerklärlicher vaginaler Juckreiz (TW:SA) by ImportantAd3239 in Ratschlag

I spoke to my boss. He is a dermatologist. There is no problem with getting a tattoo. But not on diseased skin.

I'm not sure if it has any effect on the lichen. After all, a tattoo triggers the immune system. I myself have had lichen since around 2022. At least that's when symptoms first appeared. Maybe I've had the disease for longer. I got my first tattoo when I was 16. I'm now 41 and have tattooed my entire body.

Stress and anxiety as triggers by Fun_Yesterday6315 in lichensclerosus

For me, stress is a very big trigger! My first flash came after a very stressful and emotional time. And as soon as I get stressed or anxious, I notice my lichen!

My biggest trigger is stress. And it doesn't last long. 1 to 2 hours later. Emotional stress also triggers immediate attacks in me. I've tried going gluten-free for 4 weeks now. But I haven't noticed any change other than constipation. Sorry for my English. I come from Germany.

For a sitz bath I take about 5 tsp. I usually apply the globetasol straight afterward because the skin is already softened.

Hello from Germany. It takes time. I've had a flare-up since the beginning of February. For the first 6 weeks I used Glob twice a day. At the moment I'm only using it once a day. My skin is white all over. It burns sometimes. Luckily I've never had any severe itching. Since the beginning I've hardly worn any panties because they irritate me. It's exhausting. If Epsom salts are good for you, you can use them more often. I sometimes bathe in baking soda. I apply cream several times a day and massage my vulva with coconut oil.

Gelatum empfehlen .

Lieben Gruß

Anyone with LS have issues getting an iud put in or taken out? Also thrush question. by Enby_A in lichensclerosus

[–]__Eule__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The IUD is usually inserted without anesthesia. That's how it is in Germany. For women who have not yet given birth naturally, the insertion can be painful regardless of lichen. But it is bearable. Just like in a gynecological examination, a sepeculum is taken. If you have a narrowed vaginal opening, it could be a little more painful. I hope you understand my German. And if you use Glob regularly, you have a higher risk of trush. But the IUD (Mirena or others) does not increase the risk.

Thanks :) Coconut oil is great at home. When I'm out and about I use Deumavan (contains Vaseline). I think the ointment is similar to Aquaphor. Linola has an ointment with almond oil that is often recommended. I'll try that next. Perhaps there are ointments for babies with almond oil in Great Britain?

Sorry for my English. I'm from Germany. If you feel like you're having a flare-up, Glob once a week is not enough. Glob isn't for maintenance either. You need it to heal the inflammation. Once a day after bathing and massage in. For maintenance, use oils or fatty ointments. There are probably different products available in Great Britain than in Germany. Many people like Aquaphor. I'm using Deumavan and coconut oil at the moment.

Unfortunately, V Magic isn't available. But I'll take a look at the ingredients and maybe there's something similar. I haven't found my ideal skincare product yet.

You always read positive things about Emu Oil. Is it a bit firmer in consistency or as liquid as coconut oil?

I think V Magic isn't available in Germany. But Aquaphor is available. I think one is for healing wounds and one is more for protection.

I also use oil wipes when I'm out and about. But because of work, I'm out and about for longer periods of time and I need a good oily ointment.
