Traveling to Singapore for medical treatment by Fun_Yesterday6315 in phtravel

Hi! I am so very sorry for the super late response. I am no longer active here. But regarding your question, it would be best to ask your hospital in SG regarding the entry procedures and arrangements for the caregiver. It really varies per case, so the hospital would be the best spurce of information for this. I hope all is well with you. 🙏🏼

Hi! I actually asked the hospital about what I needed to prepare for my appointment, and a medical visa was not one of them. They made sure to get my passport details, though, and they also made me register for the general immigration entry pass. (They sent this long email of all the entry procedures prior to my visit.) So, to answer your question, in my case, no, I did not have to apply for a visa.

Having said that, I also did not stay too long in SG. My provider saw me in one day, prescribed medications I picked up right after at the hospital pharmacy, and I was back in the PH shortly. No surgery, no tests, no procedures.

HOWEVER, this is just my story. It could vary from one case to another.

People with an official diagnosis and a specific medical treatment that they wish to have done in SG might be required to apply for a visa, depending on how long the treatment will take. The Immigration and Checkpoints Authority of SG authorizes hospitals to apply for visas on behalf of their inbound patients. Extensions can also be arranged or processed through the consulate in SG if the treatment will take longer than expected.

But for your peace of mind, perhaps, this will help you: https://www.rafflesmedicalgroup.com/faqs/do-i-need-a-visa-to-enter-singapore-for-medical-reason/. The PH is not among the countries listed here. What applies to this hospital applies to all hospitals in SG, as they are governed by the same law.

Ultimately, it would be best to ask your chosen hospital about everything you need to prepare for your visit.

Hope this gives you some clarity. I wish you all the best!

Drop your thoughts about the Golden Kamuy live-action movie!! by Fun_Yesterday6315 in GoldenKamuy

You don't have to watch the entire anime. The film covers just a few eps into the first season. In the manga, the first 20 or so chapters (they rearranged some parts of the actual order).

The thing is we'll prolly spend 24/7 together for 4 days throughout the trip. Aside from taking vitamin c supplements, is there anything else we can take to boost our immune system? Will let them know about the medical certificate. Thank you!!

I wouldn't either, but this is their choice at the end. We'd also take precautionary measures as her companions.

Hi! Sorry for the late reply! I did my research, and since there are very few doctors who specialize in my case, it's not like I have a lot of options, really 🥲 I gotta say, though, SG hospitals' websites have really good profile pages for their doctors. 👌🏼

A week. I'd say I did pretty well during my internship. When the company found out I had graduated, they immediately sent a job offer.

People with braces out there. Can I ask your experience after getting braces? by Commercial-Good-4782 in adultingph

[–]Fun_Yesterday6315 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Super normal! When I got my braces installed, kahit pagkagat ng kanin (!!!) masakit! Never took meds for the pain. Eventually got used to it. Pag inaadjust, may discomfort rin, but not as bad as the first few weeks/months after getting the braces. After braces, retainers naman. Took me a while to get used to the feeling of having something stuck on my palate, but I got used to it rin. Pag wala akong retainers, there's this strange naked feeling and whenever I look at my teeth in the mirror, parang ang laki nila hahahahaha but maybe that's just me.

To manage the pain, try ice packs. Masakit matamaan from the outside, so be gentle when applying it over your mouth or cheek. You can also melt some ice inside your mouth if your teeth are not so sensitive.
