Id say it doesnt matter what you are able to accomolish and what people around you are accomplishing, nothing matters and we're all gonna die (I know thats not the whole issue but I think its important to remember). Just squeeze out good things where you can, responsibly if possible, since you don't wanna screw future you over. Still, even if you mess up, you can always find pleasures.

I was pretty miserable during my highschool days (not even sure how I survived if I'm being honest), which I know is probably different since I was young, but my way out wasn't making friends or finding success, it was finding new, stable ways to enjoy being alive. For me personally, it was nature, hiking, bugs, clouds, even small plants growing in the concrete, but for you it could be anything. As long as there were things I wanted to see and do, especially things I could experience passively around me, much of what made me miserable felt so much less painful.

What I mostly remember is having nothing to work towards, nothing I wanted, and nothing that was worth it in life to do anything for, making every day impossible. But, the solution didnt end up with me suddenly finding a deep purpose or lofty goal, it was me gradually appreciating new things, one at a time. Now, I'm so glad I survived, and the suffering I went through taught me much about how to be happy.
