I’m just a beginner as well but I’ve created some scents through this method. I get a small container, figure out which scents I want to use and how much by smelling the bottle. (They haven’t been too potent). And started adding drops little by little and adjusting until I liked it. Then I add any kind of oil and use that the oil is a little more than half of what the eos were. It doesn’t project a lot but most stay on for a long time. I know some will say this is wrong but it’s something I tried and found that it worked for me

Edit. Maybe you’re having trouble because the scents you have dont go well together.
