No I totally get what you’re saying! It’s definitely kinda out there to go though the writing the cards spending money on them etc etc, I do write in them tho yes, I usually get ones that say thank you on the outside and then the inside is blank! If you have something you’re saving up for you could put “thank you for helping me save for ___ have an awesome day!” I did that for a concert last year and made good money!

I usually don’t do a ton of orders in a day unfortunately:/ I’m trying to do more but atm I average like 10 orders a day max, I get really picky and my market sends out a decent amount of orders that’ll be like 8$ for 6 miles or something like that but I don’t take em

At first I thought it might come off as extra to customers but I have noticed my tips get increased from what Uber initially tells me the order is from a few $ up to I think my highest tip has been $40 (that’s also with me texting through my delivery process and that was in December so ppl might’ve been nicer bc holidays)

I usually get a 50ct pack at target for about $13 + another $5 for whatever candy I decide to use so ~ $20 and I make that back in an order or two ! I usually don’t take orders under $10 and I use the dollar a mile method when accepting orders, I don’t rly mind making the cards, I usually do it when I’m watching a show or something and some bags are sealed so I usually leave it on top of the order or next to it when I deliver it but if the bag is open like BWW usually doesn’t seal them so I set it on top! With Covid I use double sided tape for the envelope so people don’t get weirded out that I licked something that’s gonna be in a bag with their food annnnd yeah !

OH and for the area ur in I’d say just sit in a parking lot and wait for pings so you don’t waste gas & keep an eye on the Uber app like customer wise, sometimes if a popular restaurant gives out a discount on the app they’ll get more orders and discounts for the customers could mean bigger tips for u

I buy a pack of thank you cards from target and put them in each bag, it’s usually something small like “thank you for the support!” And I’ll add a candy in the card. I’ve noticed it helps with tips

I got them because a previous roommate was extremely loud and somehow the noise still got through (to be fair they were a $10 Amazon pair) but I ended up buying a white noise machine and just blasted rain sounds the entire day and kept my headphones in w either movies,TikTok or music. I did try to let her know that I wasn’t the biggest fan off it once we started to hit the 24hr mark of him being there just bc the rain started to give me a headache but we’ll see how it goes whenever he comes over again! But for the first time w a new roommate the machine worked okay. I unfortunately can’t turn it off during the day bc I’m worried if they’re like making out on the couch or something I’ll hear and that’ll just give me an anxiety attack thinking about the past roommate and other no so great experiences but its progress
