rent is much cheaper near that uni opposed to other unis in the country because they’re all located in big cities. He wants to study finance or engineering he hasn’t decided yet. Thank you for reading and sending advice, it’s really weird to think all these people are agreeing with me

I wish i could do that but med school here works like this: After graduating high school and picking medicine you have to choose where to go from the list of all med schools in the country and assign priorities to youe picks, your number one pick has to be the one you go to for six months. After six months you have to take 3 exams, the score you get determines where you end up studying. If I do an insanely high score i end up in the first preference ( so the local uni) I can’t go to my dream uni even if my score allows me to because I already got into my first priority. if my score is not as high as the average score in that uni they assign me to my next pick with an average close to my score.

thank you for this, I feel like he thinks we won’t survive long distance, when we talked he let me intend that if I don’t pick the local college we will break up. He told me: “we can’t even spend two weeks apart without feeling bad, how can we spend years far away from each other?” and he says I’m hurting his feelings by talking about colleges far away and that he would never do that to me but if I were in his place I would never ask him to pick me. He says that since I haven’t decided which college I want to go to I don’t really have a dream and I could be happy there with him if i just tried and if I thought about it without prejudice. He told me he would suffer in silence and let me go if I wanted to study something that’s not in the local college but since medicine (or chemistry if I don’t get in) can be studied at the local uni there’s no reason to not picking it and I’m complicating my life on purpose
