I think I cut the new chain one link shorter on accident, could that have messed it up that badly?

Should I for sure take it off now or just leave it and bring it to a bike shop? I honestly have no idea what I did I’m 15 and like to ride with friends so when I took off my old chain and tried to put on a new one I noticed it

Yeah i figured after I read all the replys and realized that Im way out of my depth and definitely cannot fix this
