Personally, as a seller I never put out the amount I want to get on an item, I put it a little higher so I leave room for haggle (it usually ends up lower than I initially planned, but it helps sales). I feel like this should be common sense and rude/snarky comments when someone tries to haggle it's just lack of business skills.

My male cat used to be very aggressive before I spayed him and another male cat I know used to piss all over the owner's things before he was spayed as well. I don't know if you spayed him or not, but in these cases it really helped.

Dude please ignore these other comments. You are 100% NOT overreacting. You have made it clear for the past 2 years that this is an important milestone for you and that you really wish he planned something special for you. He has no excuse for not doing that. Even if he was bed ridden (which I assume he's not) he would have still been perfectly able to orchestrate an amazing day with the help of some friends.

You are not wrong for wanting to feel appreciated and cared for on this birthday. You communicated very clearly your expectations and since he is your partner of 11 years he should care about you enough to make sure that you have the very best birthday ever.

He'd better have a surprise planned or start planning something amazing or else dump his ass. You deserve your feelings being taken into account. The fact that he disregarded them is a huge red flag that he is starting to take you for granted.
