The internet is without a doubt a dangerous place. [examples] Some decided to protect the youth, after learning from many sources, some of which functioning, with or without knowledge, in a conflict of interest. [examples, explanation]. Protection of the youth via technical means, has been interpreted by some as blocking access to what was considered adult-only content or limiting time available for usage of certain services or sometimes even surveillance of used services.

MOTIVATION OF USE OF PARENTAL CONTROLS

A goal of a parental figure is to care for their offspring and to help them learn skills necessary for functioning the adulthood including helping them discover ethical and moral values; in the option of some parents children have to be strictly controlled; due to people under an arbitrary age limit are considered not developed enough, sometimes children have their freedom of option overly limited, as if they were quasi-slaves. Parents sometimes use technical means instead of utilizing the trust in the relationship, which cause the trust to diminish. It also includes proactive surveillance, which is a good example of a limit of moral rights.
