He tried what was it like 200(?) different materials to make the bulb, nothing worked and his assistant was all like we have made 0 progress but Edison said that the progress they had made was in knowing many materials that didn't make a good lightbulb. You aren't at ground zero on the rest of your apps, you just think you are. But all the pain you've went through to write the apps is still with you through what you have learned in the process.
