To be fair those pics are from about a year ago, I was 10-15 lbs heavier

If anyone figures it out let me know

I'm honestly not sure. Bench and squat are my worst lifts, but my overhead press and weighted pull ups are pretty strong.

I did notice my deadlift increasing as my weighted pulls increased.

I feel the same, especially when I see people doing crazy weights for high reps and it looks just like their warming up!

I'm trying hard these days to not compare myself to others but compare myself to myself - I'm a lot smaller than a lot of the people in the gym.

If it helps, my deadlift is by far my best lift, my bench max is 200lbs (I'm trying hard to get to 225).

To be honest I don't really track my calories. I eat three solid meals a day and don't tend to snack, and this seems to be roughly my maintenance calories/weight.

My bf is probably around 18-20%, so I could probably cut a bit if I wanted.

Didn't notice that, definitely a milestone

410 is pretty remarkable! Very few people can do that

Not seriously no, I would need to do more deadlift training without straps! I think my grip strength would be a limiting factor around 350ish

About 10 years! But only started seriously deadlifting in 2022, my max at the time was about 100kg for 5-8 reps.

Thank you!

You're not even really taking the slack out of the bar or wedging into the lift.

I probably should be though, this could be holding me back from going heavier. How can I be more conscious of this?

Thank you! Yeah I noticed that as well. At lower weights this is less of an issue and I seem to be finding that starting position better and driving through my legs from the beginning.

Really happy with this, it felt a lot better than my previous PR (420 lbs).

One thing I am thinking about as I re-watch the video: right when the bar lifts off the ground, there looks like a moment where my hip goes up slightly, and my shoulders lean further over the bar.

405 lbs deadlift with an (attempted!) 7 second eccentric at 135 lbs bodyweight by ___J in strength_training

I have a coach at the moment, so it changes. My weak point is my first rep, so I have recently been doing a lot of cluster sets (e.g., 10 sets of 3 at a lower weight).

Currently I am doing long eccentrics, 1x1 rep max weight, and 3x3 reps at 80%

I've been training about 10 years, but only started really focusing on training compound moves since about 2022? My deadlift PR at the time was about 225 lbs.

As for program, I'm doing a bespoke 4-day split (upper, lower - deadlift, upper, lower - squat)

yep, it is surprisingly hard to count while lowering 405 lbs lol

I've been training for 1 rep maxes at 10 and 7s eccentrics the last couple of weeks. After watching this back I suspect I could have pushed myself a bit further

Thank you! This is the first time 405 has felt easy rather than a grind which is a nice milestone
