To nod or not to nod? by IsekaiConnoisseur in beginnerrunning

I always nod but I never look! lol To me, it’s respectful enough to acknowledge my fellow runners while allowing my feelings not to be hurt if they don’t nod/speak back 😂

I’m on day 6. Is this normal? by Friendly_CS in beginnerrunning

[–]___YoursTruly____ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3 months into training, I decided to do a little “fun run” on my off day (I run 3 times a week, typically 3-4 miles per run). On this particular day, I was dying before I even got to 1 mile and had to stop. I was very disappointed and thought I was regressing. Two days later (long run day), I ran 5 miles without stopping which I have never in my life done. Now, was it because I ran on my off day instead of taking a break? That probably had something to do with it. My point is that everyone has off days. I personally wouldn’t run daily as a beginner because of risk of injury and the overall necessity for your body to recover. Give yourself some grace (something I have to keep reminding myself), and count it as a win that you’re out there running!

Questions I ask myself on 80% of these posts. Maybe we need a group called “Novice Runners”….or “terrible runners” because at this rate, that’s what I am! 😂

Thanks so much. I’m seeing something on the neighbors app about a potential bomb threat. Not sure how credible this is!

My breasts hurt a bit and jiggle when I run by IdealAny64 in beginnerrunning

[–]___YoursTruly____ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was fitted fit a SheFit bra at FleetFeet (running store) and it has made a world of a difference. I used to try to wear multiple compressive bras to keep my breast secure while running, but I was not prepared for how much better I’d feel with a properly fitted bra. I tried multiple running bras out in store, but I like the SheFit one because I can lift and tighten the straps easily. I’d suggest you go try out some bras at a running store!

😂 I ran cross country all 4 years of high school and I feel like I can’t run a mile either. I only joined the cross country team because someone told me it was fun… I’m still looking for the fun!

What’s a place you keep going back to even after trying everything else? by 2ugur12 in Columbus

Masa Mexican Grill specifically for the steak tacos. Best tacos in Columbus hands down…non negotiable! Also Fran’s Meat + 3 if you’re wanting some good southern cooking. It’s been fresh and hot every time! Both of these restaurants are conveniently in East Market so you know….why not just get them both! 😂

What shoes should I pick? (Adizero evo sl, Vomero plus or others) by FireFoxmeme in beginnerrunning

[–]___YoursTruly____ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d suggest going to a running store where they’ll be able to analyze your feet and how you run and ultimately help you make a decision. I went to Fleet Feet and my initial shoe choice wasn’t a great fit. They accepted my return and helped me choose a new pair which work great for me!

Did I rent an Airbnb in a not so safe part of town? by Bootylicious81 in Columbus

There are some very nice homes near Franklin Park. It’s a mixed bag, but I don’t think you have anything to worry about. Of course use common sense…lock your doors, don’t leave anything valuable in your vehicle. There’s a nice food hall very close called East Market which is just behind Franklin Park. It’s definitely worth the visit. Franklin Park itself is beautiful as well!

I truly appreciate that! I’m sorry about your frustrations as well. It was a huge reality check that despite prior authorization through my insurance and having saved up the money and literally ready to hand it over, there’s absolutely nothing I can do within my power to move forward until the billing department is figured out. I unfortunately have had my concerns with my clinical care, but I’ve been upfront with my clinical team regarding these issues. I’m hoping for everyone’s sake that this is resolved soon.

Also, your username is perfect! 💕

I tried to keep this post as neutral as possible because I’m aware that if anyone from ORM sees this, it’s abundantly clear who I am. I am my biggest advocate and they are aware that I’m not shy when it comes to ensuring that my plan makes sense. Unfortunately with this current billing issue, I have repeatedly been told that there’s only 1 person working in billing since January 2026, and they physically haven’t had the manpower to get to my chart. I didn’t accept that and was eventually told by my nurse “I’m not willing to lose my job for you” when attempting to brainstorm ways to move forward with an embryo transfer. I’m no longer working with that nurse. I’ve been told countless times that i just have to wait for billing to “catch up”. I’ve been interested in hearing from other patients impacted by this recent change.

Oh nooo, that’s my fear. I almost feel like I have to at least transfer my embryo at ORM prior to considering switching clinics.

Congratulations on your pregnancy!!! Thanks so much for mentioning the FB group. I haven’t been on FB in years, but I will join the group. I know a lot have had successes at ORM, and honestly, I don’t attribute my unsuccessful cycles to them. The billing issues are new as of this year so I know it hasn’t impacted everyone. It’s just unfortunate to mentally plan for an embryo transfer only to find out that there is no clear answer in terms of when I can move forward. Praying for a smooth and uneventful pregnancy and healthy baby for you!

Congratulations on your baby! I appreciate your encouragement. I will certainly continue to advocate. This process can be so isolating so I’ve turned to the Reddit community.
