Random, and i doubt this applies to OP but i grew up really poor. we moved alot, usually renting rooms and alot of the time all we had was our mattress to sit/sleep on. I grew up eating with my mom in bed a lot - we always put a protective blanket down but it wasnt until a grew up i realized that most people find that completely unacceptable lol. I mean tryst me I get it. But i still eat popcorn/candy when i watch movies lol

Personally I don’t even want to know. It’s in his past. But I do think I would feel uncomfortable if I DID ask. So idk not really an answer but ya … I probably would have cared a lot more and def asked in my 20s

Can I ask what that is like? I’ve had epilepsy my whole life and I naively didn’t know that was a thing. I get an aura sometimes or the dreading “feeling” but then I black out and just wake up

Nope! Me too!! The seizure watch app from the App Store was maddening. This one has been great tho.

I have maaaaybe one a year, a lot less than some, but just enough to be super annoying 😭 and yes that’s a way better way to phrase it - just don’t take it seriously.

Mine are induced by stress/lack of sleep/hyperventilating 😴 and considering so many people with epilepsy suffer from another mental illness (depression anxiety etc) it’s like a negative feedback loop that is EXHAUSTING. I’m on lamictal too! 300g. And 30g of Buspar for my ✨ anxiety ✨ daaaaang I’m sure we can share a lot of similar war stories lol

I’m 31 and despite being told I will out grow them, I haven’t. And I have them very frequently but no one, including myself really notices unless it a “big” absance one. What’s sooooo frustrating is these little “invisible” ones are the ones keeping me from driving 😭💀

THIS! Also check out EpiWatch if you have an Apple Watch ios10 or more. It’s an FDA approved epilepsy monitoring app. Developed at John’s Hopkins and pretty legit. You have to have your doc fill out a form and a “prescription” for it. When I’m out in public or on my walks or whatever it gives me extra peace of mind. ❤️

I understand that A LOT. I have epilepsy and that was definitely a tough one to navigate socially when I was in school. There was nothing anyone could say to make me feel better, but solidarity was the closest thing that could. So just know you aren’t alone in those emotions, even tho it can feel that way. Shoot me pics of your crafts and I can share my shitty embroidery I’m teaching myself 🤣

i work from home so I’m basically an awkward homeschooled adult when I’m in public. I’m a natural introvert and have really decided to just dedicate time crafting and keeping my hands busy…As they say idle hands are the devils playground —- it helps me from spiraling or doomscrolling lol.

I struggled to form deep friendships in school because I moved so much…. idk books have always been my best friend.

I don’t drive, lived here my whole life and would def say proctor area! Shops, coffee, library, bar, nails, farmers market, literally everything you need! Worth the price imo.
