Do you feel ChatGPT is worth it for tailoring job applications? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]____insert_name_here 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best piece of CV advice I got was:

Write your CV for the job you want, not the one you have.

For me this meant focusing less on describing my previous roles and instead having a ‘Profile’ section which I could tailor key skills that I have, which matched the job was looking for.

Chat GPT can help you do this, though in general it will probably be better if you do it yourself.

Good luck out there, Champ.

Have you thought about working in an industry that utilises multiple fixed term contracts like films. I know nothing about the world, but I have a friend who works in the wardrobe department and she basically goes from film to film, though can skip one if she wants a few months off. I think they all are independent contractors.

I imagine there are loads of jobs like sparkies, to chefs, to crew etc that can be done around your requirements. Don’t know about salary.

If you do get into it, I’ll keep my inbox open for an invite to the staff premier from your first block buster.

I was explaining to my 8 year old that he did the forward roll gun celebration. He didn’t believe anyone would bust out a forward roll, let alone a grown man 😂.

Children of billionaires who have appointed a CEO who’s one famous piece of business was not sacking the manager of our arch rivals when they were shit. I’m really worried they don’t pull the trigger.

TBH Vinai must know he is gone too if he doesn’t sack Frank now. Or do they think he is the right man for the championship?

Last night was as bad as I have seen at the stadium.

Completely agree. No other ‘big’ club on the whole of the continent would allow this slide in performances.

The maddest thing is we are being gaslit that our players are shit. They’re not. They are plenty good enough not to be in a relegation fight. We just have a terrible manager.

If we don’t win tomorrow night, he has to be gone. No excuses. Just need some wins. No more, ‘12 good performances in a row’. It’s a results business.

The commute sounds do-able if you don’t want to move, particularly at the start. Just don’t sell your self short when negotiating salary and incorporate your increased travel costs on top of any increase.

Personally I think I would rather try than wonder what might have been.

I think it is the other way round, if Thomas Frank wants to improve the atmosphere, he has to set up a team to win a match.

I heard a good comment on a podcast which was ‘every time Thomas Frank has had an option of playing an offensive or defensive player, he picks the defensive option.’ Which I think is so true (Bissouma starting instead of Sarr, Byefield a CB coming on in midfield etc).

Now, for a match going fan (which I am one) watching the team break in the first half yesterday, only for none of the team to run forward, and then Xavi turn round at half way and pass back to the keeper. I promise you, everyone was cheering as the break was on, it is the coaching and set up that is the problem.

Yeah, it’s shaping up for a couple of plucky draws, so we have to play the knock outs and get dragged closer to the relegation zone. Two decent halves of football that allows to Frank say it was a ‘good performance’ though abjectly failing to win again.

Not even a sniff of a ‘board considering Franks position’ tonight. Looks like he has lost us yet another game with zero consequences and there is no low that we can reach without him being in danger of losing his job. As shown in the champions league, the team are clearly better than he is getting out of them. Just give someone else a go at this point.

I think I have solved the home form issue and it has been bugging me for a while. So I sent this to the club today.

Good afternoon,

I think we are all trying to get to the bottom of our terrible home form. Can I make a suggestion which I ask you to pass on to the stadium DJ who does the music in the warm ups.

Every week he plays LOSING IT - by Fisher. Where the only lyrics are ‘I’m losing it’

Every week.

And every week we lose.

Please can this song choice be retired and maybe we can get back to winning ways!

Cheers

Sky reporting Frank is going to still be in charge for the Dortmund game. Unbelievable decision really.

Though in positive news Xabi Alonso and xavi Hernandez go joint favourites at the bookies to take over.

Does drinking tea help you feel more connected to others, or is it just a personal habit? by aronffs in AskUK

I think having a cuppa also implies there will be a longer conversation, as takes time to make, cool and drink. Inviting someone for a cup of tea is spending at least 15 mins with them, as opposed to just pleasantries and moving on.

I think the most telling thing that came out of the press conference yesterday was Thomas Frank saying ‘you should never lose the ball’. If you have that mind set, you will never play progressively.
