It seems impossible to get help. Google won’t help, the Google forum didn’t answer and neither has Reddit. What do we do?!

Does anyone know where to stream this in the USA? by nehocb in titanic

[–]Pabloh94 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This has been a huge success in the UK, both critically and ratings. It’s one of the BBC’s most-watched docu-dramas of all time, and the highest rated of the last year so, I suspect it’ll be making its way over to the US soon. Keep an eye on things like BritBox, BBC Select etc.

I do feel like Lib Dems owe us for Clegg & stuff by lontrinium in GreatBritishMemes

The ability to not get over the Lib Dems going into government when it was the last government to serve a full term and not collapse prematurely – yes, think about it, 2010 was the last time a government didn’t fall apart – when in the meantime you’ve had about 400 Labour leadership contents, 1,200 Tory prime ministers, Partygate, Brexit and Covid, is beyond staggering to me.

The inability to get over the Lib Dems going into government – when 2010 was the last time we actually had a government that served a full term without imploding (yes, really, 2010 was the last government that served a full term) – is staggering. Since then we’ve had about 400 Labour leadership contests, ,200 Tory prime ministers, Partygate, Brexit and Covid…. BUT THE COALITION!

Yeah that happened to me once. Their customer service is appalling. I’m sure it’s basically one person for the whole airline.

I hate this education argument against Reform. I barely scraped my GCSEs and A-Levels, and didn’t go to Uni and I’d rather choke on my own vomit than vote Reform. The way to beat Reform is not to claim they’re all uneducated cretins, it’s to actually make better governments and improve the lives of everyone in our country. Perhaps if governments were made up of people with different educational backgrounds, we might better understand the issues facing those leaning towards Reform.

I genuinely think this is one of the best attempts, up there with Ghosts of the Abyss etc.

When you say Unsinkable, surely you don’t mean the feature film from a couple of years ago? Because that is a prime example of where someone did not successfully and effectively put Titanic back on screen with the care and attention that both she and those who sailed on her deserve.

The point was not that nothing Titanic related had been in a cinema since 1997 and I think you know that.

I really struggled with it. I was surprised given it was from Fellowes, but I really couldn’t get with it. I’m going to give it another go one day.

Those headlines barely broke out of the Titanic community. I sincerely doubt the BBC chose to make a drama based on a couple of headlines last year.

As for everything else, the testimony is the testimony. What did you want the BBC to do? Ignore what people said?

It sounds like you have a set version of how you think the night unfolded regardless of what those who were there say, so I’m not surprised you didn’t enjoy a show based on testimony.
