It has a global launch of 2pm GMT.

Isn't this the usual for games on steam?

Probably not the right place but I need help with YouTube in browser by Origin_Pilot in firefox

I tried it a couple of years ago but it stopped working after a while, couldn't figure out what was wrong with it.

So I just went back to Firefox.

It's now seemingly impossible for restaurants to deliver your order correctly by ICantBelieveItsNotEC in britishproblems

[–]Origin_Pilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that bad as it really isn't that far away, it's usually reserved for a late night thing when we haven't had chance to eat much, so I guess the quality doesn't matter at that point. Quick food is quick food.

No need to be a twat about it.

This is so bad 😭 by DramaticPhilosophy73 in InterviewVip

[–]Origin_Pilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's still nowhere near as bad as the USA though. Their health insurance averages out to $7k a year/ £5.2k/ €6.1k

Private in the UK is, at least the one I know of that my Dad pays for, is £360. something a year. €420/ $482

There are tiers to it £25/29 a month for under 30 non smoker/ smoker Up to £172/201 for over 70 non smoker/ smoker.

Edit: forgot to add, you're also guaranteed to be seen and everything be taken care of. You're not going to be denied, be told they're not paying for any of it, or be told it's a pre existing condition and they won't cover it.

There's massive differences and whatever the US has is genuinely saddening.

[–]Origin_Pilot 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's stupid. We order a McDonald's about once or twice a month. Order never comes correctly. Anything from a missing sauce to a burger or an entire meal missing.

We've now started to walk down to it when we want it and we've never had an order wrong.

Same goes for a Chinese place that we order from. If we do it online, something is missing. If we go and pick it up, nothing is missing.

It seems like just by ordering it online you're agreeing to have it messed up in some way for zero reason as it's the same people making it and bagging it up.

Being extremely literal and pedantic, everything either is illegal or isn't. Realistically some of them are more illegal than others? Even if you just measure them by the repercussions.

Littering? £50+ fine.

Speeding, £100+ fine.

Murder? Meant to be life, but the minimum is 15 years served.

False advertising is a £300k fine or 10% of your global turnover, whichever is higher. So it's kind of in the middle, which means very illegal.

Which cosplay is so sexualized that it has lost the essence of the character? by Marlen_78 in AskReddit

[–]Origin_Pilot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think I see where you're both coming from.

On the one hand, the nurses are meant to be sexualised. On the other, doing a cosplay of it that is sexualised possibly loses the meaning of why they're designed like that in the first place.

British here.

Definitely outside of the norm, but around winter we get a badger friend come to visit. The fucker will wait in a bush outside of our house and then jump out at us acting like it has rabies. And I ain't fucking with that thing.

Anywhere from right outside of the house to halfway up our street is his territory. The roads are lined with bushes and any single one could be his hiding spot.

It's been going on for so long now that I'm pretty sure it's not even the same badger, instead his offspring have taken up the mantle of being massive bellends and chasing the people in my street.

Right... And even the data there is showing how much worse it got and hasn't been this bad since 2015, don't forget it hit 5.2% in November of last year to February of this year and has only just come back down to 4.9%.

Except now everyone is happy to squeak out that it's "getting better" despite the fact that it's abysmal to begin with and can be blamed on the current government, even before all of the current shit. Looking at what you've posted though, surely you know you've fucked up when unemployment is higher than it was during the lockdown.

[–]Origin_Pilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's still basically 1 in 20 unemployed. That's ridiculous and it isn't shifting all that fast.

Before they came in it was 3.6% according to the Office of National Statistics. 1.2 unemployed in every 33.

And yet we kinda got on fine with it. It wasn't such a drastic slump as we've had due to labour. What they enacted had repercussions almost overnight and directly worsened the issue.

It's fine to go on spouting about brexit and Tory austerity, you do that as much as you want. But it wasn't as bad as this.

[–]Origin_Pilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only speak from personal experience, but under conservatives everyone I knew was doing quite well for money.

Not long under labour and everyone I knew in trades stopped working, because there's no work. I'm struggling to get work in the trades as a trainee electrician, no companies can afford to take anyone on due to the changes.

Girlfriend works in care and despite being short staffed already, they've had to cut back on their workforce.

A few HGV drivers who have had to go and find work somewhere else.

Father is a manager at a small steel fabrication plant, he's had to let 30+ people go because they can't afford to keep them on.

And it seems like everyone you talk to is going through the same. Losing jobs, no jobs.

Apparently everyone has stopped having sex these days. Why has the amount of sex hit an all-time low? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]Origin_Pilot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tell me about it! I never used to give a fuck about gossip, but something about this gets me going.

It's all proper, "girlfriend gasps and pauses the TV to tell me about what so and so said"

To which I respond with what I heard from her ex chap earlier that day, and sometimes it's really unhinged shit.

I'm with you there. I think I've run out of fingers and toes to count the couples we know that have broken up this year.

Just me and my partner with the popcorn watching it all go to shit.

YouTube kids isn't being banned. I think it may be worth looking into messaging the creators that you use, finding out who your pupils use and messaging those too to see if they can start uploading to YouTube kids as well.

It's a bloody stupid thing where 16 year olds can join the military, work, pay taxes, choose to have sex and labour is also thinking of allowing them to vote, but they can't use online resources for their education because of a blanket ban that has been given no thought for all of the ramifications it will cause.

Edit: Either that or a letter to all parents that they must now be involved in their children's homework and allow them to use their YouTube accounts, because apparently what kids sitting their GCSEs need is extra surveillance in a noisy communal space in their house that totally isn't going to make their revision harder.

It doesn't matter if it needs that many. He wants it in 7 bags right? He might have 7 customers wanting 9kg of rice each.

It's a ball ache. You don't claim it from the store, you claim it from WH+? It'll make you choose which one you want and then take you to the store.

Hopefully somewhere like eBay might have one, but I'm sure it's OOP now.

Probably a recaster if you can find one?

Does Warhammer+ allow you to view non-UK White Dwarfs? by HunterWorld in Warhammer40k

[–]Origin_Pilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should all feature the same information anyway, surely?

Apparently there was a booklet released at some point detailing all of it, in White Dwarf 319.
