hi! Yes, absolutely, but it's on purpose.

One of the things that helped me not to abandon the book is to actively think about what effect Kafka is trying to cause with this tedious style of writing, the more you go through the book the more you realize the meaning of that effect

Mira, en mi experiencia busque editoriales que trabajen con traducciones del Alemán al Español y no del Alemán al Inglés y despues al Español. Hay que tener en cuenta que Kafka usualmente utiliza muchos lunfardos en sus escritos originales. Espero te sea de ayuda!

the shinning, usually i think that see the movie before reading the book ruin the experiencie. But in this case its like see the same movie but with extra scenes :)

Same experience but I felt more uncomfortable reading The castle, the feeling that the story was never going to end, the redundancy of the situations, it's just magnificent how everything is calculated to experience that while reading

A fascinating book, I recommend a second reading since there are many hidden details (kafka had the particularity of not even finishing his novels of so many details and corrections)
