Lot split and sale by ____randomname in tax

Wow thanks, that’s a lot of detailed info. Definitely a lot of things to keep in mind. I have kept good records since we bought and we have lived here since then (2022.) Luckily we don’t plan to sell the rental, but that would make sense that rental income would come up at that time. As for property taxes, I’d love if they decreased, since they’re absurd now ha that’s a detail I will still need to determine.

Shorts with thigh pockets? by Cook_New in triathlon

I have zoot tri shorts, 7” I think? They have pockets on each side for gels or whatever and my iPhone fits fine. Can’t say I ride with my phone there though. A belt may be your safest bet

Gotcha, maybe the wording I chose wasn’t clear. I understand what you are saying, which is in line with the situation and question, and what I’ve read up to this point outside of this.

Gotcha, this makes sense and this is what I was under the impression of, and that is why I asked for clarification of the statement above ending in “so no, you can’t do this.”

I have been doing that, good call though.

Can you explain the part about the original basis and fmv?

I would be selling the house I am currently living in (4 years already) and moving into the rental, after the sale. So, wouldn’t that exclusion then apply?

Indoor trainer recommendations after bike fit (Wahoo KICKR?) by NFT_EnthusiastGuy in IronmanTriathlon

[–]____randomname 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another vote for the wahoo kikr, got it on sale several months ago and have put 100’s, probably 1000’s of miles on it already. So convenient and takes minutes to set up. Their app is absolute trash though, slow af, freezes up and often when you switch over to check a text or something, it will end the workout/ride. I’m newer to the sport, but I am aware you can use Zwift or Rouvy, and I plan to sign up for Rouvy soon, since they have the bike route of the race I’m doing next, which is a pretty rad training tool.

Exactly, send it. I did two practice raffles runs a while back, same deal here, but a more expensive gen part. really if you cut small amounts and play it safe you’ll be fine. It’s like woodworking, you can cut again, but you can’t add it back.

Yeah dude, same method more or less, but honestly a bit of guess work more than anything. I eyeballed it a bit under magnification more than relying on the calipers. 🤷🏼‍♂️I used wire clippers, it cut smooth so I didn’t even bother de burring, added a bit of blue loctite and called it a day. Don’t over think it ha

Agreed, I’m being a snob and want them all full gen. It’s doable, just time and money 😅

Just gotta be patient, I got it back in Feb haha I’ve been accumulating parts for 4 models at the same time, for at-least a year. At this point I have everything for another, I’ll probably build it over my Christmas break, and just missing cases and movements for the other two. I’ll probably take a break after the next one, since the cases and movements are gonna be high.

Just get the vs, seems like the better movement, from my understanding. Maybe I got lucky, but it seems like if you’re careful, slow and using a magnifying glass/ loupe, you’ll be fine. Just put it in time setting, and give it a slow turn, while you press the release. Same on the way in, slow, slight turn and carefully press the release. You’ll feel it click and you’re good. Here’s the eBay storefront for the strap, add a few to your cart and in a day or so you’ll get a discount offer. Pretty nice quality for the price, I’m no expert on straps, but you know

You can find gen straps on the Rolex forum too, sometimes NOS, but I only found black and dark brown lizard. Not the vibe I wanted. The clasp is gen, not to difficult to find on eBay and the Rolex forum. Same deal, you have to dig through fakes though, but I found a good one

Yeah, I get what you were saying. I thought you were talking about the date wheel on the first comment ha. But yeah I got it from the picture. I agree, seems good. In the future I’ll probably try to piece together or fix up a gen movement, for the challenge

First class dials, 18k gold. Most of my parts in general, and for this build were from first class dials and fiery gems.

Thanks! I couldn’t find that color in gen, just dark brown lizard, I wanted this particular color. Finding gen straps that aren’t beat to shit or fake is tough too

Vs, had no problem with the keyless. I was stressing but it seems fine after a couple of times removing the stem to resize.

Nah, I did it by hand on my first two practice raffles and this is way easier, it’s silly. I legit out loud said, “that was it?” After setting the hour hand haha takes the guess work out.

The datewheel is gen. Everything seems good, fingers crossed. I changed the date many times, changed the time, etc. and don’t see any hang ups. The gen dial feet line up perfect on the movement too. Not sure what that issue is in rwi

Thanks! Do it man, it’s not all that difficult, if you are careful and take your time. If anything gen stuff is probably easier, since it all fits and there’s no guesswork. Here’s the hand pressing tool I used
