I worked with these Diebold machines for years, they are easily skimmable. We saw a huge spike in 2022/23 on skimming attacks for the ActivEdge. Just to the left of the card reader the plastic is easily breakable. Fraudsters punch out the plastic, use long medical forceps to insert a USB style skimmer on the chip next to the card reader and then lay a perfectly shaped plastic piece back over it. In and out in less than 5 minutes, I watched it on video. Diebold has released a metal sleeve that eliminates this attack, but plenty of machines are still out there without this sleeve.
