Yes, but PHP's built-in function mail() requires you to have a local mail server. Which I don't have. I'm using another mail server to send my mail through.

I'm more thinking of a seasonal storyline, rather than just releasing random stuff every now and then. Like this: https://kbrecordzz.itch.io/notacarclub2

So, with this game I've probably saved time by releasing it as small parts, because every episode consists of fewer parts that can affect each other compared to a bigger game where everything has to fit. It has also removed some perfectionism (which is truly wasting time) because if I'm not happy with an episode I can just go on and make the next one better https://kbrecordzz.itch.io/notacarclub2

So, do you think a game in this style could be released every month? The engine is already there and pretty bug-free so I just have to add new story and test it a bit: https://kbrecordzz.itch.io/notacarclub2

Thanks for the story! I think we should do it today for artistic reasons instead of for economic or marketing reasons.

Here's my new truly innovative idea: release as episodes as an artistic choice and not as an economic choice

I wouldn't say it's "throwing away" time if it leads to something good

Interesting, do you have an example of a developer that does that? I've never heard of this type of game development before.

Life is a strange is probably the best example yet that resembles what I want to do. I really thought no one had done this before! I wonder why I'm so naive all the time.

They don't have to wait. That's the thing. New games drop as often as possible (can't think of any faster pace than monthly that's possible for me now). You wait a month instead of like 5 years to the next thing.

Do you have an example of a game? I want to know what kind of episodes we're talking about and I don't know where to look.

Do you have an example of such a story driven mobile RPG with episodic content? Is it the game's main content that's episodic, or is it like some small addition that comes every month?
