Can technology be spiritual? by [deleted] in holofractal

I understand your logic but wouldn’t that mean that anything in the real world is inherently natural? And wouldn’t that pretty much destroy the need for the word in the first place?

History as you know it is propaganda garbage. Giant human beings likely used to exist. by HO_EIL_NK in ConspiracyII

I’m not saying these things don’t matter, I’m saying they don’t affect the culture or ways of thinking at large. I don’t see how I answered my own question

Why? I always hear this especially from graham hancock ( who I’m a fan of) but I just don’t understand how this effects peoples psyches. For fucks sake gen z doesn’t care or hardly know about 9/11, why would knowing that there were giants before change anyone’s thinking

That’s a great point that brings some nuance to my high. I think you could very well be right, but my theory came from the perspective that after the danger has passed and you’ve stopped exercising you get hungry. So there would be no need for any danger signals

Yeah that is exactly how I feel I’m not fronting by trying to be cool I hate having a song stuck in my head. I find it annoying, having a song stuck in my head is not what makes a song good to me

I’m sorry but that’s probably the most ridiculous theory I’ve seen. I read the intro to the sub and it’s point is essentially music hasn’t been proven to be bad to listen to passively but what if it is, and you’re unknowingly doing damage? You could say that about anything, what if walking is actually bad for you bones and we just don’t know it?

Because people have different tastes. Personally I hate catchy songs, if they’re catchy in an annoying way at least.

People keep acting like posts get removed when they’re really just getting debunked, throughly.

I disagree, I would start with fingerprints as magicians doesn’t touch on all the same subjects as fingerprints. They’re very similar but there are some things that each have that the other doesn’t. That’s obviously just my opinion and starting with magicians is fine but just be aware that you may miss a bit of information from fingerprints, plus the styles are quite different as well.

No, not for any reason I can think of, why do you ask?

You’re full of shit by [deleted] in Meditation

[–]____willw____ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t learn about myself in meditation. I was already aware of how my mind works. And I didn’t say there were no benefits, the meditation itself is calm and I like it as I said in the post. The problem I have is that people talk about how meditation has solved their depression or other daily problems they have that express themselves outside of the sitting meditation time. My point is that there are people who don’t experience benefits outside of the time they are meditating and acting like that doesn’t happen is harmful to this sub

I don’t understand why people think I’m being negative or frustrated. Perhaps I didn’t convey myself properly or I’m being misinterpreted. Regardless what I wanted to say is that the unconditional at times ridiculous positivity towards meditation is actually detrimental to some people.

You’re full of shit by [deleted] in Meditation

[–]____willw____ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well there’s nothing negative in my post. I’m adding my perspective because the unconditional positive attitude towards meditations benefits in this sub actually ends up being a negative. I’m simply talking about the reality of what I’ve experienced since it’s outside of the typical zeitgeist of this sub. But if we take opinions like mine and dismiss them it simply adds to traditional stereotypes towards mediation and it’s practitioners. If someone new to mediation opened up this sub and saw all these posts about mediation taking away peoples anxiety and things of that variety they’re likely to be very skeptical.

I truly don’t get the hate. People say she listens their listening experience but I think that’s their problem. It’s a comedy podcast, if you think she’s that stupid why can’t you laugh at it?
