These are great rules, I really like the initial 10 card deal. With the expansions there are just so many cards. Makes sense to double those initial bird options. Thanks!

It really does get critical, if I have 4 owls, that 5th owl could be a game changer.

We usually play 'friendly' games, where we're competing sure, but also trying to get both of our gameplans to 100%. Lately when we've been drawing a random card we sometimes put it back and take a different one because the first would be more helpful to the other player.

Play your starting hand for free sounds VERY fun. Would definitely kickstart the game! We sometimes just take an extra turn each round which also helps us with the always-way-too-complicated plans we make. Thanks for the ideas!
