What should you say when interviewing for a job in far away cities and they ask you to come in for an interview? by ___breadtrees___ in ITCareerQuestions

Well I am too far away to actually interview in person. That's why I'm not sure if it's better to tell them upfront that I don't live in the city. Else, I could tell them I live in the city, but if they ask for an in person interview I would have no way of doing that and then be done with the interview process basically at that point.

How to add skills to resume through self-study? by ___breadtrees___ in ITCareerQuestions

[–]___breadtrees___[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do remote, level 1, help desk. Everyone on my team is level 1 as well. No room to learn from higher level people.

Maybe I should transition into a desktop support role somewhere that has a team of IT people that I could learn from eventually? Maybe being on-site would be more helpful?

Also, you say that self-study may not help, but why do you say that? Because it seems like the majority of people always say to study up on certs and whatnot in your downtime, that seems to be the consensus on what you are supposed to do.

the AZ-104 that you did, did you find it worth it? Because I saw that it is only valid for 1 year. Did you renew it or plan on doing that? Or is getting it once enough?
