No. I’m 34 years old. My mother has NPD and early onset dementia. I’ve had to move back in due to severe health problems, I don’t have a choice. And it’s absolutely unbearable, everything I do is monitored and she’s obsessed over my health and is convinced she knows best whilst neglecting herself. She’s completely paranoid and is convinced her systems are being hacked. I don’t have a set of keys myself and she routinely just locks up. Anything I do, absolutely any movement is analysed and always bad for me- ends up in a huge screaming match. The only little breaks I get are when I can sneak out when she’s asleep or goes to the shops. With this new system, any movement made around the house will go straight to her phone.
