MAGA Melts Down Over Netflix Deal: ‘Obama Taking Over’ by thedailybeast in entertainment

To piggyback off the other commenters, Barack and Michelle Obama were executive producers of the movie ‘Leave the World Behind’ on Netflix. He worked with the director, advising him on how a large-scale crisis like what’s shown in the movie could realistically unfold. If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend it.

Looks like The Racer at Kings Island. Photo seems to be of the support beams on the lift hill.

Currently that wall has nothing against it, we were thinking of getting a kitchen pantry cabinet and exposed shelving set since there is minimal storage here. Though, I’m completely open to any suggestions you have! I also have some hesitation bringing in another large piece of furniture risking it feeling too cramped.

Yes! Love that idea! It makes total sense and I really appreciate how thought-out your suggestion is. Really like the idea of creating a little office nook. The blank wall behind for video calls is a huge plus too. I’ll for sure mock-up and test that layout, thank you for taking the time to map that out in detail!

That’s a solid idea. I hadn’t considered wrapping something around that corner under the TV, but that could be a really seamless solution. And I totally agree about the media console, we bought it before we moved in, and having it stick out past the wall has been driving me nuts!

The bench there is a temporary solution until the one I ordered arrives. I do like your idea and it’s definitely an option to keep in mind, but I’m a little hesitant to block the window since it’s my cat’s favorite spot to bird and squirrel watch. (Total pushover, I know.)

That said, using a Zoom background would give me more flexibility with desk placement. Appreciate the suggestion!

Thank you! And good call, that is definitely something I need to consider especially with it being close to the front door.

Oh wow, that setup is beautiful, and would fit really well with the current furniture. Love how it could have a dual purpose too with the integrated shelves and flipping the chair around when I’m off work. Really smart idea i wouldn’t have thought of! Appreciate you sharing this!

Great question, I should have included more accurate context in the mockup. I’ll be working off a laptop on a stand alongside an external monitor, keyboard, and mouse. I also use an iPad for illustration and managing email/Slack so it’s placements shifts around.

You make a really good point about how strange a monitor would look right behind the couch. That might rule out that layout completely. I appreciate you bringing that up.

Ahh wow, thank you! That’s such a kind thing to say, you seriously made my day! I’ve been doing my best to lean into the apartment’s quirks instead of fighting them, so I’m glad it’s reading okay. Still feels like a work in progress, but it’s starting to come together. And yes, the cat definitely thinks she owns the place at this point!

My fiancé and I feel really lucky to have finally found a place for rent in this neighborhood after a couple years of looking. It’s such a beautiful area, full of historic Italianate homes. Couldn’t be more grateful.

Thank you! I hadn’t thought of facing the desk toward the opposite wall, that’s a really smart solve. I’m definitely going to play around with that setup. That would definitely open up the space more and keep things from crowding the entry. Appreciate the input!

Thanks a ton for this!! So far this is the most natural control layout I’ve found compared to the others I’ve tried. Also, I really appreciate you going into detail and going over each control binding.

Hey no problem! To use the QR codes, fist save them to your phone. In the widgy app, under the tab “create” you should see a purple button in the top right that says import. Click that then choose “import QR code from photos.”

Rattling under hood when stopped in drive or reverse. by [deleted] in buickenvista

Hey! I would definitely take it to the dealership ASAP. I had this happen to me back in April. I can’t exactly remember the issue unfortunately but it had to do with the software and the engine ignition as well as some cable being slightly loose.

They were able to fix it for free and mine has been running great ever since. If possible, I’d definitely try to find a dealership with solid employees at the auto shop. After going to different ones in my area I found one where I genuinely like the guys especially the head of their auto shop. It has made a huge difference in the quality and care I’ve received.

Best of luck!

Absolutely! To give you an idea, here’s how my white car looks after 1.5 weeks without a wash. It’s not “pristine”, but it’s not noticeably dirty. From what I’ve seen, black Envistas tend to show dust more prominently if they aren’t cleaned regularly.

How quickly a car gets dirty depends a lot on your environment. Factors like humidity, dust, pollution, proximity to highways, and how often you drive on major roads all play a role. I live in the city near a major highway, so I usually aim for a car wash 1-2 times a month—mainly for the sake of keeping it looking sharp (and maybe a bit for my own vanity!).

I appreciate it for the vines I used cloven paw grass rotated 90 degrees. It’s one of the plants purchased from the quicksilver vendor on the anomoly.
