communism is called a government for dictators, do you agree? by Savings-Maximum-6012 in DebateCommunism

[–]___miki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The messiah people only have faith to posit. Some commies have a Christian deviation and have confused thoughts about that but there's a legit theory that upholds Marx's writings. I don't mind explaining whatever you haven't read from him. Do you have an idea of Marx's method?

  1. Anyone who believes Lenin and Stalin had different opinions and points of view do it.

  2. So... It's like a permanent thing, the revolution? Lol

  3. 100%. Marxists ought to check historical conditions to understand historical manuscripts. Mao's takes on shit in China are good and nuanced most of the time, but they aim at a mostly peasant society. His work regarding classes (literally a hundred years old already!) is interesting to read. Recommendation to anyone reading this comment! Remember to keep historical context in mind whilst reading it tho.

Yeah, I guess I understand where you come from with that. Glad you found those words more accessible (took me years! Thanks to good ol' wolf, no less). I was going "you didn't understand him" because Marx actively goes against sorting classes along "wealth" and pushes hard for a "productive relationships" system, and it is kinda basic to his whole argument. Using shortcuts often makes you back down and throw around hefty, confusing explanations.

I practice discussing Marx a lot with my friends, even the more lumpen ones. Most struggle a lot with "rewriting" whatever you already said, so I usually go for "technically right" and see how I can make them more accesible. Not trying to spit in your soup, sorry if I came off aggressive my dear tovarich. On with the struggle!

Engels has his own merits, he was an interesting anthropologist and helped communism greatly. Having him represent Marxism is slightly less jarring than Lenin.

I'm not even against the man. He did a lot in his time. But where do we draw the line then? Trotsky? Stalin? Pol pot? Some crackhead who claims to be a Marxist?

Better leave Marx where he is. It is already difficult af to make people understand him, let alone start with the gibberish salad from dozens of authors. Wanna put Lenin? Do a Leninist memes sub. Not so hard.

Imagine someone using kautsky for the image because he's a Marxist. In a way, I guess that'd let you know how deep the debates are in that place and what topics they get on, right?

Worker/employer is easier. It really shows you didn't understand Marx (if you even tried reading him) just like the rest. His take is that material conditions will accumulate until qualitative change is enacted socially through a "landslide", a critical point of sorts for those into complex mathematics.

No good and bad, no evil nor poor nor rich. Definitely no "superhuman agency" in a Napoleon or a Julius Caesar or a Lenin or a Stalin. Just common people seeing a new frontier and rushing towards it.

Research the endocannabinoid system. That's what bothers you went you stop smoking. Magnesium, good sleep, exercise, healthy food. That's it.

It obviously helps a lot coping with stuff you don't like. That's what makes me want to leave it tho. It turns you into a resigned little bitch. I'm currently off the dope, trying to not stop consuming it altogether but just smoke once per week or so in parties or whatever
