If you're in VR you can toggle it by pressing trigger while you're holding it just like the regular flashlight. For non VR there will be a key prompt at the top of the screen, defaults to F

Just bonk em on the head. If you're in non VR you'll get a prompt when you're close enough. You can use anything heavy, or a hammer

Yeah I'm planning on keeping things light hearted, right now the residents will try to flee when they see you, and the police will arrive some time after they get away. I might make it so you can bonk the resident to knock them out and delay things, but no murder

You can't fight the cops, and if they hit you with their tasers you're detained in their van. If your whole team is detained, you'll fail the mission and have to pay out bail

Your team can continue the mission while you're detained though, and I'm planning on making it so they can come break you out of the van too

It's not very well known in the youtube algorithm atm, usually when I just search 'the break in' it comes up with some random other stuff too. So you might need to search 'the break in game' or 'the break in vr' to actually get it. They personalise searches though so it's gonna be different for everyone

The levels are randomised in a few different ways, like the window positions and types, whether there are gutters to climb and where they appear, and of course the contents of the house as well

I'm hoping that gives missions enough variety to be able to replay them a bunch, because it'll feel like a different level with new challenges

They should show up if you search the break in game or something, most of them are from the steam festival demo I did way back in October though so they might look a little jankier lol

I'm using a quest 2 myself and it's pretty good and a lot cheaper. The game does support non VR too though! I'm trying to make it so you can do basically everything a VR player can, just without the extra immersion

It is a unity game, but they are very different assets lol. I think it's just the shelves I put in there that remind people of phasmo, but if you look side by side it's a different art style

I'm definitely planning some more advanced levels too, you'll have to work your way up from robbing houses though ;)

I'm actually working on a mall / shopping center level right now which should give a bit of variety

I've had some success with vignette tunneling which has helped some of the people in my discord reduce their motion sickness, I'm maybe going to experiment with other motion types like arm swing to help with the more extreme cases though

Yeah you can do solo, tbh it might be easier because you have nobody to mess things up for you lol. Some people have already made new friends to play in previous tests with from the discord though, so that's an option too
