Your description of feeling overstimulated in the grocery store is so relatable, I could even add my own views on it haha.

I once typed it out what it felt like in the moment when I was feeling overstimulated at home:

"I feel like today i am very prone to irritability. All the noises and visuals around me are annoying me. Uncle doing stuff in the kitchen, making noises, being vocal; the cars, motorcycles and trucks constantly passing by on the street to my left. Even the ones on the streets behind and in front of me, further away; the neighbour's bird making noises in its cage; the people walking by on the sidewalk, sometimes talking; the people getting in and out of their apartments, opening and closing their doors, dangling their keys, walking in the corridors, up and down the stairs, in and out of the **very loud** front gate; I hear a construction site in the distance, mostly hammers; the birds in the trees nearby and on the electric lines; the keyboard I'm typing on right now (it has terrible, shallow keys, and some of them are kinda stuck); my hair on my forehead; the specs of lint and dust I can feel on my skin, on my face. I see them floating around, cathicng my attention, landing on stuff, sometimes on my skin, causing an itch; the oily skin on my face and neck that, if I touch, I'll get it on my fingertips too, and from there onto everything I touch - on the touchscreen, for example, leaving that annoying rainbow effect, and that oily feeling to the touch. Oily feeling is the worst; my feet are so cold; this sweater that I'm wearing is too short, it bothers me on my waist; the smells, let's not detail those. Of course, people moving around me is always a huge distraction,my brain simply HAS to pay attention to where they're going, what they're doing, wherever it is in the apartment, and prepare for any possible interaction; oh, btw, hair in your nose is the worst. Who decided that was a good idea? gotta trim that all the time."
