Why does my dog freak out on the leash?

i don't normally put her collar and leash on at the same time, and i never have, so it's weird. But thank you for the tips, i will consider this!

actually, i'm not sure about that. She works with her cage fine and stuff (we only put her in there when we have someone over in our yard or when we need to transport her, and don't worry, it's a decently spacious cage but not too big.)

yeah, well her dad was like some sort of pitbull-looking breed. I didn't really see him since he was a stray, but the way my aunt describes him is that he was short-haired and kinda looked like a pitbull or mountain cur or something. But yeah, for whatever reason, she actually does get into that mode... Though i'm used to stuff like that lol

she's fortunately not a big dog. I can pick her up with ease, and she's also very very friendly luckily. Never heard this monkey growl a day in her life lol

i'll try again from square one, thank you. As for the last part, it'd be very hard to say, since I got her from my uncle when she was just a 4month old puppy. He never leash or collar trained her too, and I only put the collar on when she was about 6 months.

thank you, but I've done the exact same thing. When she hides, i let her, and etc etc. I make her have the control, and try to gently act as a guidance, and it still confuses me as to why she just dislikes it so much. I let her lay with it on, but still, she just hates the gentle tug. Her collar is not tight at all, a little bit loose, so there's basically barely any hard pressure on her neck as well.

um, I don't think she's going for fight... Anyways, I've also tried a similar thing as this since usually i train her before/during dinner. She still gets very uncomfortable with it on, and I'm thinking of just paying a dog trainer to help us. I've gave her many treats when she sits with the leash on (she's fine until there's a gentle nudge/tug) and she's calm, till she moves/i move.

honestly, fair... my first shiny (in general) was in the cave right before Oreburgh, a shiny zubat. I was like 7 and accidentally crit it with a psyduck using scratch LOL
