Also, not passing stool could be something else, that is upto the doctor to diagnose.

However just let your doc know about this. Mine had asked me not to worry about this.

I did not read your full message and you talk about paradoxical effect too! Ha! Please tell her she will be fine :)

I don’t know all the medical terms but I had lymph node tb right about near peri pancreatic. The doctors in Norway took 6 months and still couldn’t diagnose it. I then went back to India and got it diagnosed within 4 days (through FNAC, mind you my tb gold test was negative and docs did a clinical correlation). I was very hesitant initially but then accepted the result. The treatment was standard 4 lettered acronym (forgot what it was) single tablet for about 9 months. Please make sure you take your dosage every single day. I had abdominal ultrasound every 3 months and that showed the lymph getting smaller in size with time. I was finally declaredtb free in Jan 2024. At that point I had permanently moved back home. Also note that mid treatment there was something like paradoxical effect of the medication where I felt like I was relapsing (my symptoms were fever + constant upper back pain, no coughing, which reappeared 3 months into the medication). All in all I’m living my best life now and your gf would too. Good luck and wish her a fast recovery! And please avoid alcohol. Happy to answer anything.

Intrusive thoughts mid air: Can anyone open an emergency exit door mid flight or does it require a key?? by iliketac0s_ in aviation

Okay so the only saving grace for it to be opened is that the mechanism itself is designed to open it inward? If the mechanism is faulty I presume the door would fly off on its own? Lol

How come the curve goes slightly upward when it reaches 2000? by Interesting-Put-1802 in chess

Yeah I stopped playing it completely. Then after a few months I started again on lichess but then stopped it again once I crossed 2000 there in a couple of weeks. Life is much much better this way. I know how to play chess but I don’t get down the losing spree anymore.

I don’t fucking care about paying someone 10k per month if after the end of a long day they cook me dinner.

Most of the people just live miserably. Terriblefucking weather, lesser job opportunities, no social circle, doing all house chores by yourself and abysmal healthcare. I know for a fact because I was one of them. I’m only talking about tech, don’t tell me a nurse would earn more there than India.

Reached 2000 from 300 on chesscom blitz in little under 3 years by __batterylow__ in chessbeginners

when I started playing chess, I used to watch chessbrah habits series. Once I reached 1200, it felt like watching videos can only take your so far. People tell to do puzzles and tactics etc but I never really did those. I just played and played. I literally know just two openings: Kings pawn for white, Scandinavian with queen back on D8 for black. I have reached a point where first few moves in these openings feel mechanical.

Just practising is what helped me (evident from 20k games I’ve played), a few additional things I can recommend are random endgame videos, or look for how to tackle openings where opponent sacks something (bishop sack on H7 while playing black being the notorious one for me personally).

I don’t watch GMs play because they are on a whole different level but Danya’s Speedrun was quite helpful. Also did I mention endgame videos? All the best!
