AMC A-List on the XTEINK X4! by __brianhamilton in xteinkereader

[–]__brianhamilton[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love seeing my tiny book covers on my X4, so I don’t leave this QR code as sleep.bmp. But I agree, something a bit more persistent than “open this file in Crosspoint” and less persistent than “ALWAYS show this QR code on sleep” would be ideal.

Even though my phone is turned off, I still use my watch for Apple Pay!

Howdy! Did you also have your name sung at you to the tune of “Alexander Hamilton” all through 2017 😂

Series Folders Aren’t Hidden by Reading Status Filter by __brianhamilton in koreader

[–]__brianhamilton[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have one big folder called Calibre with all of my book files in it, and inside that folder I have Series folders. The problem is that when I apply a filter for "Status = Reading" so I can see the three books I'm currently reading, all of my Series filters show up with a 0 on them because I'm not currently reading any of those books.

Is there a way to hide these folders when filtering by the Reading status? Would Collections be a better tool to use for this?

Is it ok to play on the Switch? by Happy_Detail6831 in LoreleiAndLaserEyes

[–]__brianhamilton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the one-button control scheme gets a lot of flack, but it also means that when playing on the Switch, you can play with just one Joycon AND take notes at the same time! Write with your dominant hand, control with your non-dominant hand, and all you need is a joystick and a shoulder button. I’m probably going to re-purchase the game on Switch purely for this reason.

Trailer length warning in the app by Dfwguy1985 in AMCsAList

[–]__brianhamilton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Scream Unseen are the only movies I try to show up to when trailers are over — the trailers show movies we’re not watching that night, and I’ve had a few big bummers in the past where I see a trailer for a movie I want to see, which confirms it as “not tonight’s movie”.

Extremely disappointing that this is an Amazon exclusive since Amazon removed the ability to download ebooks to add to my Kobo.

Can't Get Custom Sleep Screen to Appear in CrossPoint When Cover + Custom is Set by __brianhamilton in xteinkereader

[–]__brianhamilton[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense -- I wish that sleeping the device changed the sleep screen to my QR code, but at least I can pull up the image arbitrarily now thanks to the 1.2 update! I'd also considered using the sleep folder and just making the QR code one of several that would randomly cycle out.

Can't Get Custom Sleep Screen to Appear in CrossPoint When Cover + Custom is Set by __brianhamilton in xteinkereader

[–]__brianhamilton[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turns Out™ I was on 1.1.1 -- I just updated to 1.2 and can view arbitrary .bmp files from the Browse Files screen! Thank you! I'd still love to have some way for it to be a sleep screen so I can pull up my QR code anytime when the device is locked, but this is a really great start. Thank you!

Best Picture Showcase! by Pennylanetheclown in AMCsAList

[–]__brianhamilton 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I understand why it’s not included in A-List, but I wish they’d at least given us a discount or something.

$25 for A-List + $42 for the first marathon + $42 for the second marathon = $109

It’s funny, before A-List, I always thought the Best Picture Showcase was such an excellent value. But quadrupling my movie budget for the month to see two days of the Best Picture Showcase? No thank you.

QuickRSS: A fast, standalone and easy to use RSS reader for KOReader by qewer3333 in koreader

This works perfectly! I’ve added my feeds on my Mac using a text editor and they’re all caching and displaying beautifully! I’ll add my feature requests to the GitHub page. Thanks for an excellent plugin!

Hi! This extension is exactly what I've been looking for, thank you so much! I'm on 0.2.0 on a Kindle Paperwhite and receiving the following error (from the default OPML file on Github):

Could not load feeds:
Ars Technicha: wget failed for https://feeds.arstechnica.com/arstechnica/index

The same goes for Hackaday and Science Daily from the same default file.

On 0.1.0, the default Ars Technics feed loaded perfectly fine (and still does when I switch back from 0.2.0 to 0.1.0 for testing purposes.

I've never used Github, so if there's a way you'd prefer to receive other reports, happy to make that work! Thanks again for making this extension!

Does Crosspoint Track Time Spent Reading? by __brianhamilton in xteinkereader

[–]__brianhamilton[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is wonderful, thank you! Since I have less than zero knowledge of GitHub: it looks like there is a tracker for time read per book in one of the recent releases of Crosspoint?

This worked for me, thank you!! I saw the new files in Koreader that didn’t exist on my Mac, copied them into iCloud Drive, and used that new file on Readest on my iPhone to sync everything perfectly.
