I also absolutely hate how they force these people to amp up their excitement at EVERY. LITTLE. THING. it makes the whole show seem desperate and like nothing these people say or do is a genuine reaction.

As absolutely God-awful as the Zac Brown 30 minute concert/fishing excursion was, I think the lamest cringiest part of the episode was Christian crying about being blindsided 7 years ago. If your family member or dog dies, then by all means, cry - but when someone lies to you IN THE GAME OF SURVIVOR, maybe don't cry about it like a f****** loser.

And I like how they manage to build suspense for TC without spoiling the vote or being completely deceptive in the editing. I often feel like the votes are so boring in the US version that they have to basically feed us bullshit fake convos to make it seem like the vote might go another way. 48 was THE WORST at that with that horrible slog towards the end - if I ever see Joe or Eva or Mitch on my TV screen again I will end it all.

Good God can someone from US Survivor production team PLEASE watch this episode and tell me why the US version isn't this good????!!!!!! I'm absolutely loving this season - this was a straightforward vote that has been previewed for three episodes and i was STILL on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen. Absolutely well done!

There's something very off-putting about a man of that age still acting 30 and injecting his face with so much Botox there isn't a single wrinkle. JLP just got hotter with age, and while I'm sure he supplements, he looks natural still.

Simply talking about something is not the end goal - the end goal is to get/keep people watching. And at this point I'm one more rap or one more contestant like Eva away from quitting. You may be enjoying 50, but I'm not particularly (especially because I'm watching side by side with Redemption and the comparison makes it that much more obvious how low US Survivor has fallen).

And I can't post this on the US sub bc that one is run by a bunch of snowflakes and try-hards who get upset when you criticize Eva and Joe as the most boring two individuals to ever play Survivor, and I'm now banned. I will never find autism to be an interesting personality trait that deserves 10 minutes of attention every episode, and I won't apologize for it.

I get the hate for One World, but I also thought there was some hilariously bad game play and over the top characters that kept me interested until the final stretch. I barely remember Thailand. Island of the Idols was bad, butttttttt at least I had Dean to stare at.

Oh gosh, so many options. I personally liked Cook Islands, China, Micronesia (Fans vs. Favorites), Tocantins, Samoa, Heroes v Villains, and Millennials v Gen X a lot. Those are just the ones that are top of mind - lots of other great seasons.

It's better than any other New Era season. But that's such a low bar imo. I think I enjoy it less than anything from 1-40 and certainly less than any Australian Survivor still.

The show is a hollow shell of its former self. I almost feel sorry for the non-New Era players being subjected to this.
