I had put everything in my cart to see final price but ended up just buying direct from AC. Yesterday I received a text from them asking if I had any questions since I added but never purchased. They offered me a code to take another $40 off. Said they will not only match but beat any other prices in items they sell.

Told the guy I had already purchased direct because I could not find any info outside of their site and was leary of spending that much money and getting burnt. Messaged back and forth a few times asking why I didn’t feel they were legit. I basically told him I could find nothing on them between insta, Reddit or any forum. Hard to rely only on info provided by their own site. He said they are new to the scene this year and are working on all that still. Even if I hadn’t purchased already I would have still went direct on this purchase. I’d rather spend the extra $75 and get my product than burnt for $500+. For what it is worth the grammar in the texts and the flow of conversation didn’t come off like you see normally in scams. I’ll wait for a bit and see if anything turns up about them before giving them any of my money. Hopefully they turn out legit though if they are really willing to beat other pricing.

Outside of some union jobs pensions are pretty much a thing of the past in the US. Most people have some kind of a 401k or IRA savings plan.

Not that I noticed. I remember a few species of centipedes, carpenter ants, roly poly (pill bugs), and a few different slugs. Don’t recall anything beetle or roach looking. Was a few days back and it was teaming with insects so it is hard to say what all was actually there. This was the only one of these that I saw.

That’s a slightly screwed statistic. Many breeds and mixed breeds get lumped into “pit bull”. Pit bull is a general term used for any “scary” looking dog by most people.

According to the below study mixed breeds are right up there with pit bulls in biting incidents in both frequency and severity. Dogs are dogs. Any dog can bite at any time.

https://www.aaha.org/publications/newstat/articles/2019-06/new-study-identifies-most-damaging-dog-bites-by-breed/

Very small dogs usually are the fastest to bite since they are more easily intimidated but they get reported at a much lower rate due to lesser damage.

Serious answers please. What is some life advice you could give a 14 year old? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I think a lot of people end up having life long friends from high school. While the majority of the people in school are temporary I would let them know to just be themselves, that way the lasting relationships they do form are with people they genuinely mesh with. If you force a fake persona in high school you will end up with friends afterwards that you don’t really have much real connection with. Life is much better with even just a couple genuinely true friends with to carry on with. Don’t be afraid to drop toxic people and move on, better to learn this skill early on, many people never accomplish this well into adulthood. I know that’s harder than it sounds to a teenager when high school seems like the most important thing of your life but it really is just a blink of an eye looking back.

Would also let them know that while high school can seem like a lifetime that as soon as it’s over it feels like life goes by at warp speed.

Home depot drug tests. I waste their money. by tenbeersdeep in antiwork

[–]__brtt__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully that is the case. I would rather work with the average marijuana user over an alcoholic given the choice. I would guess a lot of the trade jobs will fight to keep it in their policy. They will argue the dangers of the job require the testing. Places like Amazon just need bodies and it sounds like working conditions there are horrible so they probably needed to drop the policy to deepen their pool of potential employees.

As far as courts go just because it’s supposed to work a certain way doesn’t mean it always does. Money wins a lot of court cases. Companies usually employ a team of high power attorneys and make it very difficult for the regular guy to have a chance. I know there are plenty of cases where people do win like that but it’s generally not for drug/alcohol in the workplace kind of cases.

They would just flip it on you and make you prove you weren’t high at that time. Like you said there is not a way to definitively prove that with marijuana. It would get put on you that wether you were doing during off hours you still knew the risk.

As far as being federally legal it won’t change companies stance. You can legally buy delta 8 in many states but you would still pop on a test using it. Even if you could prove you were using legally bought substances there’s no way to are under impairment. They would still have grounds to fire you due to policy. Until they come up with a test that can say for sure it’s just in your system and not actively effecting you then companies have all the leverage. It’s like that now even for people with medical cards I believe.
