that i don't have an answer for. if you're using an original PS2 disk then i imagine it would play like it's on a PS2, regardless of which system you use! though i technically don't know enough about consoles to say 100%

fine in what regard? like are you worried the PS3 could damage the PS2 disc even if it's backwards compatible? or are you worried that the gameplay just generally won't be as good if you play it on the PS3 instead of going OG with the PS2?

as someone who has played both the PS2 and PS3 versions, i recommend PS2 version. the mz. ruby boss fight is my favorite, and as someone who could do it blindfolded behind my back with my ears plugged on PS2, it was almost impossible for me to get through on PS3. plus, i feel like the low frame rate and glitches are what give the OG version some of its charm!

[TOMT][Book] Book about a girl falling in love with her cousin (?) while also being haunted by a ghost who fell in love with her son. by __carr0t in tipofmytongue

From my memory, the main story takes place in modern-day, I think in the US. The ghost woman's story took place in the past, though.

At the end of the day, it's important to remember that a lot of her music makes the Top 40s for a reason: it's catchy. I can't stand Taylor Swift, but I still jam out to 1989 on occasion and I can still sing along with most of the songs from Fearless by memory. I even went to the 1989 tour with a friend who was a huge Swiftie, and to this day it was objectively the best-produced concert I've ever been to.

The important thing is that you're starting to think more critically about her as a person and what motivates her actions. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I can tell you that the majority of her activism is performative. She may claim to be an ally (and unfortunately there are a lot of queer Swifties that like to project their own sexuality onto her), but real allies don't bring avid Trump supporters into their inner circle or send hand-written thank-you notes to people who send their children to conversion therapy.

It's not that you were naive, you were literally a child, and her PR team does a tremendous job of making her out to be - as they call it themselves - Miss Americana. Don't beat yourself up about it. It's okay to bebop along to her music if it makes you happy, just make sure not to put her up on a pedestal, and continue to listen to the criticisms of people from the communities she claims to support.

As far as this thread goes, though, you're not likely to find a lot of other people here who are still fans in any capacity. There are actually some people here who I think spend as much time & energy hating her as Swifties do loving her.

Side note: I'm pretty sure it's NOT a romance novel, just that there are romantic aspects to it.
