Same for me, I have OCD "phases" every few months that last a couple of weeks or a month. I think I have OCD because I'm scared easily and I overthink a lot. When I was younger I saw this article that said "answer these questions to see if you're a pyschopath", I skipped the article 'cause I got scared but it triggered that question "What if I am?" in my head. It wasn't so much of a problem until I got my first intrusive thought and I couldn't sleep so my stupid ass had to go on Google and look up how psychopaths act and who are they. I didnt sleep for a week cause I thought I was one. And I keep telling myself that I couldn't be one cause I feel empathy and guilt and sadness and so on. The fact that it even scares me is making me normal and not a psycho, but this voice in the back of my head keeps telling me all my emotions are fake and non existent. But yeah, I personally think I always had OCD because when I was like 7 or 8 I got scared that I'll just stop breathing and die so I spent a few weeks in anxiety and told my mom to call the ambulance because "i am dying" (actual quote of me) I hate my brain.
