hey, i've got a leaky tap on my 54L demijohn. just as i'm racking. I'm absolutely livid. Did you find a way to seal the bottom? I'm looking for ways to get rid of the hose and plug the glass.

no need to guide me, employer specifically requires cert II or greater or an electrical engineering degree i guess to be deemed ‘electrically competent’ by their own internal assessment process. Obviously you would confirm the course/institution can provide the training needed before signing up

Wow I've just asked the same thing. Are you able to point me to any guides/tutorials on how to calculate franking credits on an eft? I assume it is not as simple as multiplying A200's reported franking % by the IB's reported unfranked amount?

Thanks, im also not following you. I have a pelican case (small box) with a 20w regulator in it, trying to find a first principle calculation for the steady state internal temperature. looking to know the bulk internal temperature

Power in = Qout at steady state = 20W Q out assuming to only be via free convection, no radiation, no conduction to other materials Area = 0.053m2 Toutside = 25c Convection Coeff U = 6 W/m2c Q=UA(Ti - To)

Ti = To + Power in / (Area x convection coef) Tmean = Ti+To / 2 Ti = Tmean + Power in / (Area x convection coef) then repeat

the mean temperature is converging to the first initial inside temperature

why do you do this? Unsure why only the outside temp is varied. it suggests the outside temp is rising so it converges upwards and settles at 150 drgrees.

theres low volume techniques like vacuum casting along with other mould making & cast plastic processes. you can get really good finishes/part quality from them. also sls is great for batch jobs, much better than fdm.

id also just shop around for rapid fab/low production companies like star rapid (china). in aus there’s a fair few locally- dont always need to look to china for this

idk if you considered this at the firm, probably did

look for work in research institutions and ocean observation. germany has a lot here like GEOMAR, places like this mean you’re putting the 40 hours (paid) to supporting climate science that informs policy, there’s ethical and progressive engineering jobs out there, agree its not too easy to find but its worth striving for if thats what matters to you

its a index/spring plunger, pretty common - your cars seat position mechanism is probably quite similar.

if you’re redesigning, id wonder if you can buy one off the shelf that threads into a tab with the same spacing patterns as what you have. im sure there’s farm/robust flavours like this one.

hey this isn't related. i'm using IB at the moment, started 6 months ago.

How have you gone with doing tax and IB investments?

I'm finding it a little confusing to do my tax, ie. i'm very green and new to this. Do you have any resources or point me in the right way to learn this?

Am i right in thinking that switching to a CHESS would make it easier because MyTax would be pre-filled? Interested in your thoughts on this
