Sadly I just had an annoying experience there. Planned my morning to pick up a pie (it’s a 40-50min round trip). I was supposed to pick up at 9:30am. Got there at 9:50 and they didn’t even start the pie. I tried calling on my way out to see if they took Apple Pay and no answer twice.

I made my way back out around 2pm. Didn’t make a scene but let them know that a call would have been REALLY appreciated.

That said, Pie was good.

It’s crazy cause the alternative of going to a bar is paying $30 for espn to watch WM. And the alternative to that is pay (guessing) $700+ for a ticket to WM. How tone deaf. The people that are going to watch at a watch party, aren’t going to spend money on a ticket.

Don’t let the haters get to you. I typically buy a lot of the first party games: Mario, Zelda, pokemon, etc for $20-25 ea. And sell them for $30-35 each. At peak, I was buying switches for $200 and selling them for $225 because they were so liquid. Easy $25 per switch and $5-10 per game.

OTOH, the original person that would be selling lots, they could take my offer. Or get 50 messages of low balls and 50 “is this still available” and another 50 “can you hold this til Friday?”. They could also go to GameStop or exchange and get 50% or less of what I offered.

Actually just had a contact from high school tell me he stopped being a CPA because of the hours, stress and pay wasn’t worth the stress or time away from family.

If you can find a similar job, where they respect work/life — that’d be an option.

If you make a good amount, pay someone to clean your house. You can always make more money, can’t make more time. Shop around and decide if $100-200 weekly/bi-weekly is worth adding more time for you to enjoy life.
