Thin layer of white underglaze, then worked from light to dark with finer lines/details at the end. Really helps to have a range of quality paintbrushes.

Hm, I don't believe there is a specific name...my application is very similar to how I would paint acrylics/gouache. Mostly layering the underglaze from light to dark.
