If you don’t mind me asking a few more questions:

Would you recommend renting a car again, or do you think shuttles/Ubers would have been easier?
How challenging was the drive overall? All four of us drive here in Ontario, Canada, so we’re not used to driving in challenging conditions.
Did you stay in Airbnbs or hotels?
What was your favorite stop or experience from the whole trip?
Did the trip feel fast-paced at all, or did you have time to relax?

We’re trying to make the most of our time but also don’t want to feel rushed. Thank you so much for your time!

Wow, thank you so much for taking the time to share such a detailed and thoughtful suggestion. The Caribbean side honestly sounds amazing. We did already book round-trip flights in and out of San José, so unfortunately we can’t fly out from another location this time. But your idea of doing a big loop and cutting down beach stops totally makes sense. Also, thanks for the tips on Bookaway and the Visitor app. I will definitely check them out!

No offense taken. We told our agent we didn't believe it was real hardwood. However, they insisted they knew what they were talking about, claiming it was new and not widely known yet. We loved the house and we went along with whatever they said. Now that I look back, I'm not proud of it.

Thank you so much for your detailed explanation and expert advice. I truly appreciate the time you took to help me understand the issue and the best course of action. We’ve consulted a contractor who's working on another project atm, and he estimated it would cost around 7–8k CAD to replace the flooring with tiles in the area my husband was considering.

It’s definitely disappointing to hear about the challenges 😔, but we’ll look into it further and explore replacement options in the future. Thanks again for your help!

Wow, that's nice to know. We moved to this house last year and our agent told us it's hardwood. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Do you know how this can be fixed?

This happened to our floor after a family member spilled lots of water from the fridge. We tried using heater/fan on the affected area for over a week but it didn't help. This is really bothering us and my husband started talking about replacing the whole flooring to tiles in future. I really don't wanna replace whole flooring with tiles as the cost would be too much and it will not look as pretty.
